XNA
In school we're using a game engine produced by Microsoft called XNA. It's an extension of Visual Studio. The Problem is that it only works with VS2010, which is no longer available for download. So until I can download XNA I'm stuck with Gamemaker (Unless there are any other good Code-based game engines out there).
