ABOUT ME

Hi, My name is Jason.

I program "games" in my free time. Why the quotations? Because at the current moment, my "games" are attempts in learning as many different programming languages as I can to further my knowledge.

Who Am I?

I'm going to be blunt: I am a 16 year old that is faced with a very large challenge: I do not know what I want to do. I became facinated with computers in the 7th grade when all my friends talked about this interesting thing I've never heard of called "RAM". I decided to learn what this "RAM" thing was and then found computers are actually cool. Now I program and it's all gone downhill from there. As you can most likely tell, I am a 16 year old boy, Which comes with the perks of: Bad sarcasm, awful jokes, and, most of all, high-school humor.

What Credentials do I have?

I am currently enrolled in my school's game programming class. I also currently have a job in my School District's IT department as an intern for a program dealing with refurbishing laptops. For the short answer: none really.

Why do I do this?

That is a very good question, and for that question I have a very good answer: I have no clue. Actually that isn't 100% true. I personally love programming. I know the competitiveness in the field, so I feel that I can improve my chances in getting a job in the field by having background experience in the subject. Also, on a slightly more whimsicle motive (is that a word, whimsicle?), I hope to be able to publish some games I have to steam to pay for part (if not all) of my college tuition.

Do I have any partners/supporters?

While recruiting my friends for this idea, they looked at it and laughed, so for the partners... no, not really. I do have friends that help me when I come into a roadblock I can ask for help. I list them under my "Rubber Ducks" page (for reasons mostly related to Inside Jokes). If you would like to support this idea, there are multiple "Donate" buttons on the website. Whether you are donating actual money, or game assets (ideas, sprites, scripts, etc.)*, I will put your name (or pseudonym) in the credits of the game you supported and you will recieve a free version of that game (assuming it ever sells). More importantly, however, I will remember you and you will have a special place in my heart.

*Contact me if you want to donate a game asset.
